FAQs

What is Helium?

Helium gas is a colorless, odourless, tasteless, non-toxic, inert, monatomic gas. It is a gas less dense than air which causes a balloon to float.

Is Helium safe?

Neutral helium at standard conditions is non-toxic, plays no biological role and is found in trace amounts in human blood. However inhaling helium can be dangerous if done to excess, since helium is a simple asphyxiate and so displaces oxygen needed for normal respiration.

How long will the balloons float for?

> 11” Qualatex balloons will float for approximately 10-12 hours*.

> 16” Qualatex balloons will float for approximately 24-30 hours*.

> 18” to 42” Microfoil balloons will float for approximately 3-4 days.

> 15” to 24” Bubble balloons will float for approximately 2 weeks.

*if you’d like to extend the float time for your latex balloons please ask us about the Ultra HiFloat Gel

What is Ultra HiFloat Gel?

Ultra HiFloat Gel is a non toxic biodegradable liquid that forms a barrier in latex balloons to make them float 25x times longer. Meaning it slows down the rate of escape of helium from the porous latex balloon.

What happens to helium balloons in the heat and in the cold?

When foil and latex balloons are filled with helium, the balloon will expand and contract with the temperatures. Hot temperatures will cause balloons to expand and occasionally pop. Cold temperatures will cause balloons to shrink. Altitude will also affect balloon float time. For best results and long lasting good looks protect inflated balloons from extreme temperatures, high wind and other weather related elements.

What is included with the rental?

All short term helium tank rentals include a balloon regulator. If you are inflating foil balloons, please request a dual regulator, if no request is made then a standard straight valve will be provided. If you have any additional requests or inquiries about other accessories, we will be happy to help.

How long is the rental for?

Helium rentals are 3-7 days for a short term; as well we offer monthly rentals at $9.00 per month and yearly rentals at $90.00 per year.

Do you deliver?

Yes we do! Nationwide delivery is available for select size helium tanks, and all sizes for local deliveries in the Greater Toronto Area and Southern Ontario. Weekend delivery may be available upon request.

Keep out of the reach of children.
Balloons represent a possible choking hazard. Adult supervision is required. Keep uninflated balloons away from children. Discard broken balloons immediately.
Do not place nozzle in mouth or nose for any reason. Doing so can damage lungs and other body parts, which can result in serious personal injury or death. Helium cylinders contain compressed helium under pressure.
