How to properly inflate latex balloons.

How To Inflate Latex Balloons

Here are some instructions of how to inflate a latex balloon, regardless if you are filling it with helium or with air.

Stretch & Prepare The Balloon

Stretch the balloon quickly a few times to help prepare it for inflation.  After this, and before inflating, you may inject it with Hi-Float if you are using this for longer float time.

Inflate The Balloon

You have many choices on how to inflate your balloons depending on what you wish to achieve. You can use helium tanks, hand pumps, or manual/automatic inflating machines all sold here.

Underinflated, Ideal, Overinflated Latex Balloons

The balloon will remain very round.  This not ideal for helium balloons when you want optimal float, but works well for balloon sculptures and other air-filled design ideas.

Here the balloon is a more ideal shape for a helium latex balloon.  It is not perfectly round, but the neck is also not too long either. This is ideal for getting the most buoyancy.

This balloon leans towards being over inflated. The neck is quite long, and it will be more prone to popping when in sunlight, warm area, or near various textured edges and objects.

Check The Size Using A Balloon Sizer

Tie The Balloon

After inflating (and sizing), the the balloon quickly as not to loose any air.  You may also use balloon clips or ties.
