Tips For Outdoor Balloon Decorating
Balloons
- Higher quality makes a difference. We sell professional standard balloons which hold up better to various weather conditions if used properly.
- Hi-Float will help a great deal when latex balloons are outdoors in changing temperature and weather.
- When inflating, inflate the balloons to their maximum capacity, and then remove a touch of air. This stretches out the balloon so that there is more give should they heat up and expand during sun/heat exposure outdoors. This will make them less likely to pop.
- Shade: Keep balloons in shaded areas when possible, or at least not in direct sunlight the entire day.
- Darker colours absorb more sunlight and are more likely to heat up, so consider lighter colours for displays in direct sunlight.
- If inflating balloons the night before, keep them indoors overnight as the cooling, morning dew, and other outdoor conditions are more likely to wear out the balloons.
Other Decoration Tips
- Ensure you have more weight on your balloons and displays, as displays outdoor are more susceptible to wind and movement than indoor displays.
- Consider wind direction and where you place your balloon creations. If possible, keep them in a location which is less likely to be windy such as closer to structures and trees.
- Always add extra weight to the bases of your balloon arches and columns.
