Creating Balloon Arches

Balloon arches done properly are stunning! Use them for stages or event focal points.  They are a great way to attract people to a particular area, especially outdoors.  Balloon arches can be created in a variety of colours, sizes, and using different types of balloons (not simply round latex). The possibilities are endless.

Tips For Creating Balloon Arches

  1. The Size Of Your Arch. The arches come with poles which can be lengthened or shortened depending on how many you attach.  As well, the placement of the bases can change the width and height of your arch.
  2. Clusters of 4. Clusters of 4 is the standard way of creating arches.  Once you have more experience with arches you can play around with this, but 4 is generally the easiest to work with
  3. Round Shape Is Ideal. Many decorators underinflate the balloons slightly to create a round shape, and not the teardrop shape of a fully inflated round. However, keep in mind this will change the final diameter of the balloon. For instance, if you purchase 12" balloons, they will not be 12" when you underinflate them to achieve a round shape.
  4. Extra Weight To Bases.  AThe bases we sell are heavy enough to keep your arch upright and in place.  However, keep in  mind the size of your arch if adding many poles, or if it will be in a windy place outdoors.  In thise case, you should add more weight by stacking base plates ontop of one another or adding bricks and other heavy opbjects on the base plates.
  5. Use Glue Dots. When placing your clusters of balloons around the pole they should be tightly packed. If you have trouble with balloons moving, you can use tape, or better yet, Balloon Dots to stick them together.
